Israel and Palestine
President Carter and Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà have long been leaders in peacebuilding efforts in Israel and Palestine. President Carter emphasized that lasting peace is impossible without equal rights for Palestinians and an end to Israel’s occupation and violations of U.N. resolutions.Ìý
The Center continues to promote peace, democracy, and equal rights through localized efforts, policy advocacy, support for Palestinian democracy, and partnerships with Palestinian and Israeli civil society organizations that highlight human rights abuses and international law violations.Ìý
Short-term Goals
We support Palestinian and Israeli civil society organizations, encourage progressive dialogue with national, regional, and international parties, and promote inclusive participation across diverse groups.
